Samsung's Solve For Tomorrow (SFT) competition returns for its sixth edition, inviting all students aged 13 to 15 to participate!
Samsung SFT 2024 is a youth-focused competition aimed at encouraging young people to develop problem-solving abilities and tackle community challenges using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
"We welcome all Malaysian youth innovators to break through language barriers and showcase their creativity in this competition. We have full faith that these young minds can change the world," Ir Dr Mas Sahidayana Mohktar, Director of Universiti Malaya's STEM Centre said.

This program, a collaboration between Samsung Malaysia and Universiti Malaya, seeks to foster early interest and skills in STEM among students.
With the nationwide theme of 'Start with Can', Form 1 to Form 3 Malaysian students are once again called upon to identify critical local issues and devise innovative STEM-based solutions to drive positive change.
And here’s the exciting part — participants have the chance to win their share of RM80,000 worth of technology and classroom supplies, wow!
Here’s how you can join Samsung SFT 2024:

First, assemble a team of three and submit your innovative ideas addressing real-world problems through an 800-word submission, applying STEM principles.
Entries will be judged by Samsung Malaysia and Universiti Malaya on criteria like issue relevance, creativity, practicality, STEM application, and how well the solutions are presented.
The top 10 teams will move forward to the next round, where they will refine and pitch their ideas.
The shortlisted entries for Samsung SFT 2024 will be announced on the competition's website in October 2024.
Selected participants will receive mentorship and guidance to further develop their ideas and prototypes through a Design to Win Workshop.
Finally, the winners will be chosen in December through a competitive pitching process.
