Apple's fitness app now lets you work out to hits by Katy Perry and Daft Punk

Exercise is always better with music, which is why Apple has been so keen on stuffing its Fitness+ service chock full of the top tunes from almost every genre imaginable.

For a while now, users of the Fitness+ service have been able to enjoy workouts in the Artist Spotlight series featuring dedicated playlists for each individual artist – like an intense HIIT workout backed by the most popular BTS tracks, or a strength and conditioning workout with Queen classics playing in the background.

Now, Apple has announced that the series will feature new workouts featuring the tunes of Katy Perry, Daft Punk, Prince, and Elton John.

Every Monday beginning June 20, 2022, there will be new workout programs appearing in the Fitness+ app across various exercise types including:

  1. A cycling workout featuring Prince’s I Wanna Be Your Lover, I Would Die For You, and Kiss.
  2. An Elton John-inspired yoga workout featuring his hits Tiny Dancer, Your Song, and Blessed.
  3. A treadmill workout featuring some of Katy Perry’s top hits, including Teenage Dream, California Gurls, Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F), and Firework.

These workouts will join over 50 others that span all types of exercise and music genres, and will be available to subscribers of the service (and if you own an Apple Watch, of course).

Right now, Apple Fitness+ is available as a standalone service, or as part of the Apple One bundle in some countries. Check out our overview of the best Apple One perks here.
